Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ajoy Chetri, a sole proprietor trading as Vyomara™ ("Vyomara", "we", "us").
- Address: H/No 150 Gautam Bosti, Khatkhati, Bokajan, Karbi Anglong, Assam 782480, India
- Email: hello@vyomara.com · Phone: +91 7005175548
They cover the Vyomara Voice Windows app (the "App"), the website https://voice.vyomara.com, and the online dictation service behind them (together, the "Service").
The sign-in page tells you that by continuing you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy, and links to both. By continuing and signing in, or by installing or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What Vyomara Voice is
Vyomara Voice is a Windows desktop app. It turns your speech into text and uses AI to clean it up, for example by adding punctuation and removing filler words. The App shows you the finished text, and you can copy it with one click and paste it into any other app.
How the processing works:
- Free plan: your audio is sent through our server to third-party AI providers, and the text comes back to the App.
- Bring your own key (BYOK, Pro plans): your audio goes straight from your PC to OpenRouter, using your own OpenRouter key (see section 8).
2. Early access
The Service is in early access. This means:
- Features, free limits and supported AI models may change, sometimes at short notice. For paid plans, we give notice of changes as set out in sections 6 and 19.
- Beta features. Some features may be marked "beta", "preview" or "experimental". They may be less reliable, may change or may be removed, and we may ask you for feedback about them.
- There may be bugs, downtime or lost dictations.
- We may pause, change or stop the Service, or parts of it. If we stop a paid plan you have prepaid, we will refund the unused part (see the Refund and Cancellation Policy).
Please keep your own copy of anything important. We don't keep copies of your dictations (see section 9), so we can't recover them for you.
3. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to make a binding contract.
- You must not be barred from using the Service under any law that applies to you.
- Sanctions and export rules. You may not use the Service if you are on a government sanctions list, or from a place where providing it would break Indian or other applicable export-control or sanctions laws.
- If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
- The information you give us, such as your email address, must be true and up to date.
4. Your account
- Signing in. You sign in on our website with your Google account or with a one-time link sent to your email. There is no separate Vyomara password.
- One Vyomara login. Vyomara Voice and Vyomara Portal share one sign-in system. If you use both with the same email address, you have one Vyomara login for both. These terms cover Vyomara Voice only.
- Keeping it safe. Keep your Google account and email inbox secure, and don't share your account or sign-in links with anyone. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us quickly at hello@vyomara.com if you think someone else is using it.
- One person, one account. Creating several accounts, or using several devices, to get extra free minutes is not allowed (see section 5).
5. Plans, free limits and fair use
Free plan
- The free plan includes a limited amount of dictation. The current free limits are shown on our pricing page and in the App, which also shows how much you've used.
- We may change the free limits at any time. The limits shown in the App when you dictate are the ones that apply.
Pro plan
- Prices, currency and plan features are shown on our pricing page, in the App and at checkout. The price and currency shown at checkout are what you pay.
- Pro gives unlimited dictation under fair use, with no throttling (see below).
- Pro also lets you use your own OpenRouter key (section 8).
- If we change Pro's price or features, the notice rules in sections 6 and 19 apply.
Fair use
"Unlimited" means normal personal or professional dictation by one person. It does not cover:
- automated or bulk transcription
- transcribing long recordings or media files on a schedule
- running the Service for other people
- sharing an account.
We do not publish a fixed hour limit, and we do not slow down (throttle) Pro.
If your use is well above normal for one person, we will contact you first and may ask you to change how you use it. If you keep using Pro in one of the ways listed above after our notice, we may suspend or end your Pro plan. If we end a paid plan for this reason, we will refund the unused part pro-rata.
Abuse prevention
To keep free minutes fair, we link free usage to your account and to a hashed ID of your PC (see the Privacy Policy). If we see attempts to get around free limits, we may refuse extra free minutes or suspend accounts.
6. When you buy Pro
This section applies once Pro can be bought, and whenever you buy it. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which is named at checkout.
- Price and taxes. You pay the price shown at checkout. That price includes any applicable taxes, and nothing is added after you click pay. We will email you a receipt.
- Auto-renewal.
- Pro is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price in force at that time, until you cancel.
- Before each renewal we will email you a reminder: 3 days ahead for monthly plans and 7 days ahead for yearly plans.
- Your bank, card issuer or UPI app will also send a pre-debit notice before each charge, as Indian rules require.
- Cancelling.
- You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@vyomara.com from your account email. We confirm by email within 48 hours.
- You can also cancel the auto-pay mandate in your bank or UPI app.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account moves to the free plan.
- Refunds. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy. In short, there is a full refund if you ask within 7 days of your first Pro purchase (14 days in the EU, EEA and UK), and no refunds for partial periods after that. Your legal rights to a refund are not affected.
- Price changes.
- We will tell you about a price change at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal.
- If you don't agree, you can cancel before the renewal.
- Price changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
- Mistakes in prices. If a price shown is obviously wrong (for example, a typing error), we may cancel the order and refund you in full, instead of charging the correct price without asking you.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may move your account to the free plan until payment succeeds.
7. Licence to use the App
- What we give you. If you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Windows computers you own or control, for your own personal or business dictation.
- What you may not do (except where the law expressly allows it):
- copy, modify, or make derivative works of the App
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it
- remove notices or labels
- rent, sell, sublicense or redistribute it
- get around usage limits, licence checks or security measures
- use the App or Service to build a competing product.
- Ownership. The App, the Service, the website, and the Vyomara™ and Vyomara Voice names and logos belong to us. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond this licence. "Vyomara" is the subject of a trademark application and is not yet registered.
- Open-source parts. The App includes open-source components under their own licences, and those licences apply to those components. We will send you a list of these components and their licences on request.
- Updates. The App updates itself automatically. Some updates may be needed to keep using the Service.
8. Bring your own key (BYOK)
On a Pro plan, you can add your own OpenRouter API key. You need to be signed in to your Vyomara account to use it. If you do:
- Your audio and text go directly from your PC to OpenRouter, not through our server.
- Your use is also governed by your own agreement with OpenRouter and the AI providers it sends your requests to. Your own OpenRouter settings decide whether those providers may keep or train on your data.
- You pay OpenRouter directly for that usage. These dictations don't count towards Pro fair use. We aren't responsible for OpenRouter's charges, availability, data handling or results.
- Your key is stored on your PC, encrypted where Windows allows, and is never sent to us. Keep your PC and key secure. Revoke the key at OpenRouter if you think it has leaked.
9. Your content
- It's yours. Your recordings and the text made from them ("Your Content") belong to you.
- What you allow us to do. You let us, and the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, process Your Content only to provide the Service to you. We do not store Your Content on our server, and we don't use it to train AI models.
- Where it's kept. Your recent dictations are saved only on your PC, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can clear them at any time.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you dictate. In particular, you must have the right to record and process any other person's voice or information you capture. Get their consent where the law requires it.
10. AI output: please check it
Transcripts and cleanup are produced automatically by AI models run by Groq and the AI model providers that OpenRouter routes our requests to. AI output can be wrong. It may:
- mishear words or names
- leave things out or add words that weren't said
- change your meaning when "cleaning up".
Always review the text before you rely on it or send it. Take special care with medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other important content. The Service is a writing aid. It is not a certified transcription, translation or record-keeping service.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property
- record people secretly where that is illegal
- create or spread content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually exploits children, or incites violence
- pretend to be someone else, or give false information to get an account
- try to break into, overload, scrape or disrupt the Service, our server or our providers, or upload viruses or other harmful code
- probe or test the security of the Service without our written permission. If you find a security problem, please tell us privately at hello@vyomara.com
- use the Service for anything where a transcription error could put someone's life, health or safety at risk, such as emergency services or live medical decisions
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools with the Service, other than the App itself
- resell or share access, or automate bulk use (see fair use)
- get around free limits, for example by making multiple accounts or faking device IDs
- break the usage policies of Groq, OpenRouter or the AI model providers it routes requests to.
We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules (see section 18).
12. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Vyomara Voice without paying you or owing you anything. We won't publish your name with them without your permission.
13. Third-party services and links
- Services we rely on. The Service depends on third parties, including Google Sign-In, Supabase, Cloudflare, Groq, OpenRouter and the AI model providers OpenRouter routes requests to, and a payment provider when you buy Pro. We can't control them. If they change, fail or stop, parts of the Service may stop working. We may switch providers or AI models at any time, and we will update the Privacy Policy when we do.
- Links. Our website and the App may link to other websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
14. Privacy and emails
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. It forms part of these terms.
Emails we send. By creating an account, you agree that we may email you about your account and the Service, for example sign-in links, security notices, receipts, renewal reminders and changes to these terms. These are not marketing. We will only send marketing emails if you agree to them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
15. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Service and the App are provided "as is" and "as available", especially during early access. We don't promise that they will:
- be uninterrupted, error-free or secure
- produce accurate output
- meet your particular needs.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by contract. This includes rights under India's Consumer Protection Act 2019 and, if you live in the EU or UK, your local consumer law.
16. Limit of our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Indirect losses. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost data, including dictations lost because of a bug, failed upload or cleared history.
- Total cap. Our total liability to you for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of:
- the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
- ₹1,000.
- What the cap doesn't limit. It does not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
17. Claims caused by your misuse
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms, broke the law, or infringed their rights while using the Service, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, including reasonable legal fees. This applies only to the extent the claim was caused by you, and only as far as the law allows. It doesn't take away any rights you have as a consumer.
18. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing hello@vyomara.com from your account email. We delete all your Vyomara Voice data within 30 days. Your shared Vyomara login is deleted too, unless you also have Vyomara Portal data. In that case it's kept for Portal, and only your Vyomara Voice data is deleted. The Privacy Policy (section 8) explains the details, including backups.
-
We may suspend or end your account if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these terms
- the law requires it
- your use puts the Service, other users or our providers at risk.
Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
-
If we end your paid plan through no fault of yours, we will refund the unused part.
- When an account ends:
- your licence ends, and you must stop using the App
- we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy
- dictations and other files saved on your PC stay there until you delete them.
- What survives. Sections 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21 continue after your account ends.
19. Changes to the Service and to these terms
- The Service. We may change or remove features during early access (see section 2).
- These terms. We may update these terms, for example when we add or change paid features. We will change the "Last updated" date. For important changes, we will tell you by email or in the App at least 15 days before they take effect.
- If you don't agree. Stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before the change takes effect. If the change is to your disadvantage and you cancel within that notice period, we will refund the unused part of your paid period.
- If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
20. Governing law, disputes and courts
- Talk to us first. Please email hello@vyomara.com or contact our Grievance Officer (section 22). Most problems can be fixed quickly. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Courts. Subject to point 4, the courts at Diphu, Karbi Anglong district, Assam, and the Gauhati High Court (where it has jurisdiction), have jurisdiction over disputes about these terms.
- Your consumer rights come first.
- If you are a consumer in India, you can still go to the Consumer Commission where you live or work, under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
- If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you can bring a claim in your home courts, and the mandatory consumer protections of your country still apply.
21. General
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Shipping and Delivery Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. You may not transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them to someone who takes over the Service, as long as your rights aren't reduced. We will tell you if that happens.
- Electronic notices and records. We may send you notices by email or in the App, and these count as written notices. Agreeing online, and electronic receipts and records, have the same effect as signed paper.
- No partnership. These terms don't create a partnership, employment or agency between you and us.
- Mistakes on our website. We may correct errors in descriptions or other information on our website or in the App at any time. Mistakes in prices are covered in section 6.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we give you a translation and the two differ, the English version applies, unless the law says otherwise.
- Things outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as provider outages, internet failures, natural disasters or government action.
